Submitted by DaveinOlyWA on February 4, 2011 - 11:11am.

After years of dreaming, months of waiting which involved two vigils lasting several hours on April 20, 2010 to register for the email invitation which then allowed me to reserve a place in line to submit a quote to a dealer starting August 31st. i was lucky enough to be one of a handful that was able to submit my quote for a Nissan Leaf on that first day. then came several weeks of .... well, nothing.

What Drives Us - Episode 35 "The 'Wasn't that obvious?' Edition"

Submitted by Danny on October 5, 2010 - 10:02am.

Abandoned by co-host Danny Cooper and regular panelist Tony Schaefer, Russell had to go another continent on another hemisphere to fill the gap. This week we are very glad to have Dr. Evan Fusco back on the show, live from Australia. Regular Panelist, Linda Weidemann braves some nasty, unnamed illness to appear on the show as well. A great show with a wide range of topics mostly centered around the, "Wasn't that obvious?" theme.

Host: Russell Frost

Panelists: Linda Weidemann, Dr. Evan Fusco

First Nissan LEAF commercial premieres; In other news, cuddly bears make me cry

Submitted by Danny on September 10, 2010 - 3:58pm.

Just like you heard a couple of weeks ago right here on PriusChat, Nissan has revealed their first commercial for the Nissan LEAF. The 1 minute video features a polar bear who journeys from the icy Arctic through forests, highways, train tracks and over bridges to the big city and then on to the suburbs, where the animal finds someone who is trying to help – the owner of an all-electric Nissan LEAF.

This week Danny and Russell are joined by Tony Schaefer and Jason Holder. The group take apart the new Fisker Karma commercial and wonder why the Karma itself actually is, discuss Plug-In America's Paul Scott take a job at Santa Monica Nissan to sell Leafs, Volt transparency, the new liquid cooled Lion battery for the Ford Focus EV, a HUGE rebate on the Tesla Roadster in Japan and two eerily similar Toyota hybrids NOT meant for the US. Nissan announces the LEAF "drive electric tour". Check if it's blowing into your town

Submitted by Danny on September 3, 2010 - 2:53pm.

Nissan just announced the "drive electric tour" that is taking the Nissan LEAF EV across the country beginning October 1st in Santa Monica, CA and going through the end of March, 2011 (ending in Nissan's US-hometown of Nashville, TN). You can only register for a limited number of cities right now since it looks like venues have not been chosen for the other cities, but take a look at the list and plan ahead.

You can look for me at the Charlotte event in March.
