I've been lucky to attend a number of Toyota press events over the last few years and have always been amazed by the technical presentations they give before we go test drive the cars. It has always struck me as being exactly the kind of presentation PriusChat members would love to get on the various Prius models. At the Prius c event last week I remembered my video camera and was able to capture the full presentation.

Another Prius launch, another odd Prius ad campaign. This time Toyota enlists a bunch of people to make a big creepy person who eventually falls apart. But wait, there's a happy ending! They all find a place in one of the 4 members of the Prius family. How touching. And creepy. Did I mention I think it's creepy? Because I think it's creepy.
No matter what you think, the spot is well made and shows off the fact that there are now options when it comes to being a Prius owner. And so, below you will find Toyota's first Prius Family ad, "People Person".

While at the Prius v media preview last week, we took the opportunity to shoot some HD video to show off the various aspects of the Prius v. In this video we breakdown the flexible and fantastic interior cargo space that the 2012 Prius v offers. With up to 67.3 cu. ft of cargo space available, the Prius v is larger than 80% of small SUVs.

Here's a great CGI video provided by Toyota of the resin roof available on the 2012 Prius v. The resin roof is 40% lighter than conventional glass roofs and has a much higher heat insulation factor than glass or steel. Plus it looks really cool.

For those not familiar with the seminar, it is an annual event that brings together a small set of journalists and some of the brightest minds from the business and educational fields to discuss today's energy challenges and future opportunies.

You may have seen footage of Google's self-driving Prius before, but never like this. At this week's TED conference in Long Beach, Google showed off a couple of the Prii that have been modified to drive entirely on their own and this time Google programmed them to be aggressive while running the route. This leads to some hard cornering, squeals, and fun video footage from both outside and inside the car.
