Micheline Maynard has been keeping a pretty interesting "Prius Diary" over on the New York Times' Green Inc website.  The other day she posted a "video" (really more of a slideshow with audio) sharing her comparisons of the 2009 Prius to the 2010 Prius.  Nothing we all haven't heard or seen before, but worth the 2 1/2 minutes to watch it anyway.

For those of you who haven't seen this commercial on TV yet, here is the most recent 2010 Prius commercial.  Looks like the commercials are starting to focus on features - this video shows how the Solar Roof ventilation system works. 

I'm still not really feelilng the artsy-style of these commercials, but they sure are pretty in HD!

It looks like Japan is getting all of the fun and comical TV ads for the 2010 Prius while the US is stuck with the artsy ones.  Below are 2 commercials airing in Japan that feature Superman helping to point out all of the new features on the 2010 Prius.  For the "Chuck" fans out there, you might recognize Superman as Bryce Larkin, AKA actor Matthew Bomer.  Funny enough, Bomer was originally cast as Superman for Brett Ratner's remake that never ended up happening.

Here's the 2nd Prius commercial titled "MPG".  Basically because it talks about the Prius' 50 MPG rating.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, so here's mine: these commercials are just embarrassing.  Sure, my mother thinks the flower people are "cute", but I sincerely hope that 60-something women are not the "mainstream" group Toyota is looking to get into a 2010.  More on my opinions later...

Check out this 5 minute behind the scenes video on how the 2010 Prius commercial "Harmony" was conceptualized and produced.  The video ends with the final product: the "Harmony" commercial you may have seen on TV (or PriusChat) over the last couple of days.
