Bluetooth on base model Prius

Is there any chance a BT phone can interact with a 2005 base model Prius, or must it have a NAV system?

BT works only if you have the NAV option.

If you have a BT phone, you could get one of those BT earphones. You won't have functionality through the car, but you won't have to hold the phone while driving or deal with draping a wire.

Besides, you could get out of the car and still talk on the earphone, and people will think you're talking to them... or yourself.....

A quick search on Froggle shows several BT car kits. There are also some portable NAV systems (like TomTom) which have BT as well.

I figured as much, but just wanted to check. I don't think I could bring myself to wear one ofthose BT headsets. They look pretty pretentious. They do seem handy though....
