I have had Sirius installed in my Prius since January...it is the Metroptn unit that is controlled from the MFD. Recently when I turn my car on...the SAT 1,2,3 modes do not show my presets, no sound comes out of the speakers, and basically Sirius is completely non functional. Has anyone else had this problem, or know what it might be?

It doesn't say "no signal" or anything...everything is blank...so I don't think it's the attenna. I wonder if the actualy Sirius box is dead...let me know if you have any ideas...thanks!

You may have a bad fuse in the tuner.
That happened to me 2 years ago.

I took it back to where I had it installed Extreme Audio and they replaced the tuner for free.

I have a 2006 Prius which came with Sirius SAT radio installed for 9 months free from the dealer. I have a crackling sound in the tweeter speakers when the SAT radio is tuned to any talk shows. The dealer sent the SAT receiver back to Sirius to get a new one and I have the exact same problem. The dealership says this is the way it is and I have to live with it.

That is unacceptable. This problem seems to be popping up with increasing frequency among 2006 owners. I installed the siriusprius kit some time ago and have the "crackling" problem too. I believe it is a problem with the head unit. Replacing the sat tuner doesn't fix it (according to Jon at factoryinteractive and some folks on this forum). Someone (anyone remember?) posted that they had their head unit replaced for an aux-in problem and it fixed the sat problem too.
