I have read about the problems associated with Verizon phones (I have the RAZR V3c) and the Prius due to the disabled OBEX/OPP functionality.

But I thought I also read that there was a way to transfer contacts one-at-a-time somehow. Is this correct? I could not find instructions on how to do the transfer...can anyone point me to them--or confirm that it is, indeed, not possible?

Thanks,
Doug

I just entered them by hand into the MFD- was pretty easy.

Mine can do it, but it required flashing the phone firmware with Alltel firmware. It is not for the faint-of-heart. Honestly, it's not worth the bother. Just enter them in with the MFD. I hacked mine to get the Motorola menus for speed reasons, unlocking BT was a side-benefit that I rarely use. I use the BT to copy pictures and sound files on and off the phone, but I could do that before the hacking.

If you REALLY want to try it, go to howardforums.com, then the Motorola sub-forum under Verizon Phones. There is a link there to a list of all the stuff you need and the directions to do it.

I bought the new Motorola Q (which has OBEX and OPP) and was able to upload the contacts into the phone book. However, the names appear grey when they are displayed and nothing happens when you press them, although the phone is paired.

Any similar experiences?
