I know there are other photos of using a hanger to pull the antennae from the dash under the carpet and into the center consul, but I couldn't find. | |

My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | Well I finally took Pre-cbs's advice and installed my sirius antennae on the center dash speaker. It took a little longer than expected, but was fairly easy. Popped off center speaker, unhooked lower part of the dashboard, opened both glove compartments, popped of center vent, and then had full access to route my antennae wire behind the dash and under the carpet. Pulling the wire through the carpet was the hardest part. It wasn't possible until after finally realizing how to take off the center consule (there are 2 bolts inside the main compartment under the fake black carpeting). After that I had access and could easily guide a hanger under the carpet. Pulled the antennae wire back through, under the center consule, and then pushed it in along the back molding of the consule. It is totally invisible and if it wasn't for the antennae itself nobody would know that I had satellite radio. This, combined with using the AUX port for quality sound, will be a good solution until Toyota figures out the integrated system with more than 10 characters, etc. |
