After reading the message/posting by Huy Nguyen, where he described his installation of his Sirius Sportster 4, I contacted him for some additional information. He was kind enough to send me pictures of what he did and recommended the proclipusa.com site for getting a mount custom designed for the 2006 Prius. I did that, found what I wanted, and ordered it. As you can see from the attached photos, I have the ProClip mount in place at the top of the vent to the left of the center console and have used parts of the original car docking system to attach to the mount and to set the radio a bit forward of the dash controls. It's a slick mount, and one of its advantages is that it won't damage the car's interior. If you're thinking of installing a satellite radio, I-Pod, or anything else, consider this method.[attachmentid=4955][attachmentid=4956]

So I see you have the base model.... Where did you plug in your sirius radio? The back of the radio?? in the CD Changer slot?
Just curious , I have the package #1 and have a sirius radio, and I am wanting to wire it in somehow since I hate the FM transmitter, and don't have a Tape player.
Thanks

I also have a Sportster to install and have the ProClip mounts on order, as follows:

ProClip Mounting Plates & Accessories

853437 - ProClip Center Mount - Custom Fitted for Prius
http://www.proclipusa.com/?sectionpath=144...amp;p_year=2006

853302 - ProClip Angled Mount - Custom Fitted for RX-8 (my other car)
http://www.proclipusa.com/?sectionpath=144...amp;p_year=2004

213099 - Move Clip Kit (2 Female and 1 Male Plate) - Allows moving Sirius between cars
http://www.proclipusa.com/?sectionpath=111...id=&p_year=

213019 - Tilt Swivel Mount - Extends sideways from center - Allows tilt/swivel (use in place of the mount that comes with the Sportster, as it works better in my RX-8)
http://www.proclipusa.com/?sectionpath=111...id=&p_year=

I also plan to locate the (flat/round) antenna inside the spoiler (lifted from here -> http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=5077&hl= ), but have some questions for members.

1. Please confirm that the Sirius antenna will perform well when located inside the spoiler.
2. Is there a port on the stereo unit to directly connect the line-out from the Sirius?
3. Is is possible to connect the power supply-in to a circuit that stays powered up, even when the car power is off? (I'll use the Sportster's power switch, instead.)
4. I've been told by one of the aftermarket installers, that the Sportster isn't able to interface with the MFD. Is there any way to have even a dumbed down link from the Sportster to some of the steering wheel or tuner knob controls, e.g., for "Mode" hopping through categories or tuning up and down channels? I'm not too concerned about the MFD interface, since the Sportster display will suffice where the ProClip has it.
5. I'm getting ready to buy a (MFD aware?) Sirius Stilletto radio, that might end up swapping out the Sportster, at least on the occasion my son wants to feed it through the line-in. What additionally would I have to do to make a fully MFD capable Stilletto interface? I would use the standard ProClip Move adapter on the Stilletto, so it would mount in place of the Sportster, so just some of the connections might have to be different.

Thanks in advance for any help you all might lend.

I have no reception loss with my antenna under my sharkfin. I can't say for sure about in the spoiler, but I know others have done it.

If you've got an '06, then you probably have the aux jack in the center console. You could run the line out there. If not, then you could install the FM Modulator Wired Relay or other aux-in jack, such as the PAC Aux/Box.

Try this.

No, not that I know of.

I don't think the Stilletto would be MFD compatible either. Sorry. The only MFD compatible Sirius option that I know of is SiriusPrius from Factory Interactive. There are some other threads that go into this in more detail.

I hope I helped.
