What is the latest version for the Nav?

I just picked up my 2006 a week and a half ago and it has 5.1 on it. I thought maybe there is a newer version that I could ask if my dealership would install since my car is still new.

Has anyone done this?

My husband and I picked up our 2006 on Sept. 21, and it came with version 6.1.

I picked up my 2006 two weeks ago and got the ver.06.1 with my car.

What version did the 2007's that people have picked up come with?

6.1 is the latest version... but if you're considering upgrading from 5.1 you may want to hold off. From what I've read on some Camry Hybrid chat forums, the 6.1 disc upgrades the firmware and the Override Menu is no longer accessible. (Not that we've been able to access it on the 06 Prius or anything). I don't know if the firmware thing is true or not... anyone know if there's a way to check the firmware version?

This is weird, I called 1800GoToyota (like my dealer told me to) and they said that 6.1 was not out yet.

I am going to call my dealer again and let them know what they said.

I picked up my 06 in mid september, I would hope they will swap out for 6.1....

PS-To all the people with 6.1, this was factory install when you took delivery of your prius, right?

That's what I was told about 5.1 last year, while other people were getting it along with their new cars.

This is what happens when there's no company picnic where all the departments can gab for a while...

Yes, factory install. Before I had a chance to check it out myself, I asked our salesman which version they were currently selling, and he said 5.1, but - lo and behold - my car came with 6.1.
