The difference between HD and non-HD is very noticeable. I listen to a jazz station that is about 30 miles away and w/o HD, static can be a problem, but when HD locks in the static is gone . . . I will certainly be looking into the DICE unit for my new Prius. Does DICE have a good reputation for their products and support? |

ICE:Plus is so buggy that it won't even play anything many of the times. To reset it, you have to either pull a fuse (lose all the memory like clock, radio stations, etc.) or pull apart the dash and disconnect the power cable to the unit. After they come out with DICE, I email/call them to ask for an exchange. After numerous email exchanges, they finally agree to replace the buggy ICE:Plus and ask me to call their sales for an RMA number. Then I have to go through the same thing on the phone with them to obtain the RMA. Even though the DICE iPod kit works, it was not a good experience.

I had one on my 2005 Prius (which I just traded in) and never had a problem with it. I'll hang out for a bit and see if a group buy gets organized, but as of now this is the only game in town for an integrated HD radio. (Being able to use the steering wheel buttons and stock display is a big deal to me. ) |

Of course, I never researched why the play-what-WE-want stations like Steve or Dave existed in the first place. Rock plus bad isn't all that great, but the bad isn't too often... |

I'd also love to hear from anyone that's tried the DICE adapter. Thanks and Happy Holidays! | |

My Car: 2006 Prius Package: #8 Nominated 26 Times in 8 Posts TOTM Awards: 1Friends: 25 | I have a HD unit currently in transit for me to test and review for DICE. After my review of it, if it works up to it's capabilities, we'll put together a Group Buy for it. Hopefully you'll see my review next week!

My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | Does anyone know if the Dice HD will work with the Dice iPod unit ? Dice would first have to get the iPod unit working correctly with the 06 before I'd buy anything else from them, but it's an interesting idea having more options. Ken |
