My 2007 came with a demo of Sirius. To be honest, the channels offered during the demo don't interest me one bit, and I find it's more of a pain to have to cycle through three sets of presets to get from AM to FM via the steering wheel controls.

I suppose this is more of a three part question:

a) Can I disable the satellite receiver?
b1) Will it disable itself once my free demo is over?
b2) When is the free demo over?

Sadly, my dealer wasn't able to give me a satisfactory answer to question B. Then again, I think I told the salesman more about the Prius during our test drive than he already knew...

You can unplug it from the back of the radio. Its pretty easy to do. Check out the VAIS AIC-100i directions.

Better idea. Remove the sat radio and the antenna entirely and sell it.
