I used the Pearl with Cingular in my 2006 and my new 2007 and it works great! I have never used "Auto Answer" on any phone I ever owned or used.

So when you answer the phone you don't press the button on the steering? You have to press it on the phone?

When you mean auto answer don't you mean the setting in the phone where the call is automatically answered after a few rings?

But there's no reason why it shouldn't work fine with the steering wheel controls that I can think of.

I was just about to reply and say the exact same thing..."Auto Answer" is kind of an outdated feature that is not used often by most phone users. When you sync your Bluetooth phone to your Prius, the phone can be aswered 3 different ways, by pressing the answer (SEND) on the phone, touching the "ANSWER" button on the MFD screen, or pressing the ANSWER button on the steering wheel. None of these options involve the "Auto Answer" feature of the phone.

I hope this is helpful!
