I'm a brand new Prius owner and love my car. I got the 2007 Package 4 which has the Auxilliary input for an iPod/MP3 player. I'm currently using that input to play my XM SkyFi2 receiver through the car's stereo (male-to-male phono plug from the XM receiver to the Aux jack). I have also plugged the XM receiver's power "cigarette" plug into the car. However, I am getting a lot of static that seems to vary with the engine "noise." I didn't see anything posted about a fix for this, but was hoping someone else might have figured it out and give me some pointers.

Thanks!

What you need is a Ground Loop Isolator. It would go between your SkyFi2 and the AUX input. You can get one at Radio Shack, but there are others available.

You're most welcome.

One thing, if you get the one from Radio Shack, it's set up for RCA plugs. You'll need to get adapters, which are at Radio Shack as well.

3.5 Noise Filter

You can get this from Crutchfields to eliminate the adapters (smaller and no adapter problems). Another member posted this for iPod noise problems. Love PriusChat.

Yes, I was going to post Crutchfield's site, but I forgot the name. Ah well, thanks for posting the link. I have a 2005 and needed the RCA connectors for my portable XM setup with the DICE. For the 2006+ the Crutchfield would be the one to get.
