Voice rec disabled in Australian nav model, need help.

Hi, i was wondering if any one knew how to enable the voice recognition button on the steering wheel(its the nav model), as it has been disabled on the Australian model for saftey. (strange hey, we get the EV button but no voice rec)

I have the wiring diagram and repair manual for the US/Canada model. I can't find the voice recognition switch anywhere in the wiring diagram!

I'll look further, but I am thinking it goes through the radio as various resistances, and the radio communicates with the NAV through the AVC network to inform it the button was pushed.

They told you it was for Safety?

I bet they just couldn't get it to recognize the Aussie Accent
