Picked up my Silver AM today

I have to thank everyone on this forum. I picked up my 2005 Silver AM today in Salem, NH, after about a 3-week wait.

I brought in Kyle's instructions to get the alarm turned on; first they enabled the passive mode alarm by mistake. After re-explaining to them what needs to be done, they got it right. They were amazed to see the results. DanMan, thank you for pointing me to the right direction.

Then I got home and suppressed the reverse beeps. It worked perfectly, and it made me even happier. I can't wait to drive it down to MA tomorrow!!!

Next steps:
1. Get snow tires in a few months
2. Purchase the Extended Warranty from Troy
3. Decide on the Pre-paid Maintenance program

Hi everyone --

I'm brand new here and my first time post is a duplicate of your post. I just picked up my own silver AM on Saturday. It was on e of the most interesting car experiences ever since I hadn't been planning on trading my 2003 Camry (my fourth one) until later this year and then knew I would have a good looooong wait for a new Prius.

As it turned out -- I got a call from the dealership and they wanted 2003 Camry's (selling hot right now) and would put me in "anything new I wanted". I jokingly said -- sure, if you've got a new Prius, knowing that there was no way. Wellll, the guy then said, "I have one" -- ordered 11 months ago and the customer changed his mind yesterday when it arrived.

Long story short -- I went down and 2 hours later drove home in a beautiful silver AM (exactly what I would have ordered).

Some things are just meant to be.
