Prius Club Now in Brisbane!

The Prius Club of Queensland is formed in Brisbane now....we meet on the Second Monday of the month at Motorama Toyota, Salisbury, and all Prius owners in Qld. are very welcome!

Ah, yes....but Aussies are all about quality, not quantity!
We have 11 startup members, and go up from there. Enthusiasm will determine how far.

Congratulations, John, on getting the club going. I use Meetup.com to help organize the Portland Area Prius Meetup Group and wonder if you've considered it. I'm not advocating, just wondering.

Orf, why don't you start a Tasmanian Prius club? Prius clubs north and south!

Trouble is Bill there are only two other Prius in my area. One is owned by a politian who usually works 300km down the track and the other by an old lady who would not be interested. The rest, and that is not many, would be 100km away.

There may be others. I know it's a small island, but there may be. How do you know the "old lady" isn't interested? We have interesting, complex cars, and owners tend to be interesting, complex people. With the great fuel efficiency, a drive of 100KM isn't that big a deal every now and then.One member of the Portland club drives about 300KM to our meetings, every now and then, not every month, but it's good when we can get together and talk about our fun, fabulous cars.

Thank you Bill, and Orf, for your good wishes.
We have our inaugural meeting tonight (Monday 9th), and I plan to post a photo or two of the event soon after.

Regarding the suggestion for Orf to start up a Club in Tassie....our numbers of Prius here are really quite small relative to population, and (at least up here) a good percentage of those cars are taken up by Government and semi-Government fleets. These obviously further reduce the potential owner base who could be Prius Club members.

If any Prius owners (from anywhere) are in Brisbane at any time, please get in touch....you will be very welcome at our Club!
