Margonelli’s new book, Oil on the Brain, explores the surprising chain of events surrounding gasoline consumption and puts into perspective the need for alternative forms of energy. The LIBRARY FOUNDATION OF LOS ANGELES In association with the LOS ANGELES PUBLIC LIBRARY present “ALOUD at Central Library” Lectures, Readings, Performances & Discussions WED, March 14, 7 PM WIRED and ALOUD present Lisa Margonelli, Oil on the Brain: Adventures From the Pump to the Pipeline In conversation with Joanna Pearlstein, WIRED Research Editor Margonelli, an intrepid journalist, starts at a local gas station and journeys up the supply chain to oilfields in Venezuela, Chad, Iran, and Nigeria.
