Fortunatly I had a towel with me and he moped up most of it. I went out this morning, the carpet looks okay, just a little damp that I took care of with paper towels, but the floor mat had a pretty big stain and was still wet. I figured I'd just hose it off on the driveway and moped up the excess water with a towel, then just hang it up to drip dry for a day or two. Should this work okay to get the stain out, and do I need to re-scotchguard the mat when it's dry?

I think if the Coke didn't get a chance to dry you'll be OK if you wet it and blotted it. Coke contains corn syrup (sticky bacteria food) and phosphoric acid (toilet-bowl cleaner ingredient) so it can be hard on fabric if you don't get it off. |
