Just turned 1,000 miles on the odometer and was averaging about 44mpg in mostly fairly short trip driving. After reading about tire pressure over and over again here I decided to check my pressure and up it to 39/37 just to see if I got better mileage. Would you believe that all 4 of my tires were set at 28lbs. Thats the way it came from the dealer .

I did add air to my new desired pressure. I'm hoping that it should make a big difference in my mpg . I'll repost in a few days to let everyone know what the exact hit is from running on underinfalted tires.

You should buy yourself a small 12volt air compressor and check your tires every week or so. Keep them up to where you want them. I have mine] 42/40 and check them often, moreso than I ever did on any other car I've owned.
