Default Does the European car have neat things we don't have?

:?: I have a question for you bright folks. I was looking at the brightness "wheel" to the left of the steering wheel (underneath-- kind of) and I saw another rectangular "space"-- already "cut out" right next to it. You see that in a lot of cars where they leave a space for cool options that you did not get with your particular car.

Well, then I was under the steering wheel looking at the SE/SS button-- and I found 3 (three) more of those rectangular "cut-outs"-- just waiting to be used for SOMETHING!

Is that where they might put the EV button on the European cars-- perhaps? But 4 cut-outs! What are we missing? (Better yet-- what cool things is Toyota planning to include-- that they already know about-- for the next stage of Prius cars? Any ideas from you smart folks?

Thanks for your creative insight.

I believe European cars have rear disk brakes.

But what are those 4 rectangular cut-out things for? You saw them in cars several years ago where a digital clock might go (but you didn't get that option at the time...) or other "stuff."

But we know the stuff that comes with this car. So what are the 4 plastic cut-out areas for? They are ready and waiting for SOMETHING to fill them. But what???? Signed: Dumbfounded

The EV button goes in a knockout to the left of the steering wheel near the dimmer switch. No idea what the other knockouts under the steering column are.

The Europeans also get a more sporty suspension tuning and rear Fog Lights at least.

They don't have the Bladder or Thermos to my knowledge. Don't know if they have HID available there or not. HIDs aren't available in Canada.

Coolant Heat Storage: A thermos-type container stores three liters of coolant at close to boiling temperature for up to three days. When the Power button is pressed, hot coolant is injected into the engine, avoiding a cold start. This reduces emissions at startup, as well as wear and tear on the engine.

Lucyjeanne...... This site might help you as well, http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Prius-2G/files/

Can we REALLY donate points to other folks? I thought that was an "in" joke. Or can we really do that?????? Are you kidding me? I am new to all this "forum" stuff-- and typing my butt off.

Thanks for your help!

PS I went to the Yahoo site like you suggested but it asked for my password-- and I do not fiddle with Yahoo. They set into motion more spam than you can shake a stick at........

Maybe you can copy the info into a "text" file and then merely "paste" the info into a reply here.....

Would be quite informative to lots of folks......
Thanks a bunch!

you are welcome for the points... you can give them to anyone but yourself...

the file at yahoo is a large one, and if you read the Q& A's here you will find a lot of the things you are asking... that doesn't mean don't ask we all can use the answer skills so when we get asked on the street we can give good answers to those asking... if we just got commissions for the Prii that we sold.....
