You don't have to drive a few hundred miles - I only left them on for a couple of days and dirt had already collected underneath.

I like my car alot better without them on. My wife however is afraid taking them off will void her warranty! (lol) so hers is on and mine is off!

Same here, a couple of days was enough to collect an amazing amount of crud behind the rings. I removed them, bagged them, and haven't looked back. Hmm, maybe I should sell them...

The point about balance weights is interesting. Maybe the rings are intended to hide the hammer-on style of weight? Without the rings stick-on (adhesive) weights are required if you want them to be hidden.

Just pull them until they pop off.

I have the full wheel covers on my 2008 16" wheels.

I have removed one and below is a nice dark grey alloy wheel. However, in the center is an open hole... looks like a hub cap is needed there. Where can I buy those center hub caps?

I've seen the center caps on ebay. They're chrome looking though.

The center caps that come on the Base Prius' will fit in the center of the Touring alloys
