Default Replacing Rear Wiper

Ok, looks like my rear wiper needs replacement. Went for an oil change 3 weeks ago and asked them to replace all the wipers. They only did the front 2. Rather than go back and have to wait a while for 1 replacement, I thought about buying a retail one, and doing it myself. Only question is: this is my first car, and never had to deal with replacing a wiper. I need info on the correct side for the replacement, as well as any recommended brands.

8) All you will need to replace is the wiper insert. There is a little plastic cap shaped like a U. Gently pull open and lift up. Then take a socket remove the arm and blade unit. Pull out the old blade use the two metal rods and reinstall blade to the unit.

Quick question. The lower rear window is nice when it rains and it stays dry and clear (until you stop) but it also gets dirty since it's basically the rear of the car and thus is useless when it's covered in dust or just tiny water droplets that can't be removed since the spoiler blocks and wind turbulence. This means that I have to constant clean the rear lower window. I wonder if they should have window washers on the lower rear windows? Not just for the Prius but for other vehicles that have this design like the C-Class "coupe", MX-7, Insight etc

The Citroen C4 Coupe has a wiper on the lower window (but not on the upper window). But the lower window is much larger than the one on the Prius.

So, Ben, why Aquapel? Is it better/different than Rain-X? Talk to me....

I had the same issue with my Odyssey. Unless I told them all THREE refills, they only did the front 2. Don't know why. Also, make sure you say REFILLS because sometimes "replace the wipers" seems to mean the rubber AND its support. You generally shouldn't ever need the support part replaced. Much more expensive. The only common time would be if you use winter wipers. Then you have to get the whole thing as it is encased in a rubber shield so ice doesn't build up in the pivoting parts.

I simply need something to soften up the rubber, it squeals across my back window on the first pass and only wipes a decent path on the return stroke. The fronts still wipe pretty well.

Does such a substance exist, or is it easier to replace the blade?
