This seems like a fairly-written article.

GM is having gliches -- it is a new design, after all.

They hope to sell 100,000 per year by 2012. OK. Toyota already has that number, so there could be buyers out there.

They hope to keep the price between $30K & $40K. I sure hope so, or there won't be the buyers.

Oh. . . The production car really won't be like that sleek, lowslung concept (Duh!). Instead, it will be a more conventional 5-door (hatchback) sedan, and it will be slightly larger than a Honda Civic. (Question: What is a Prius?)

All I can say is that I hope it works. I would be great to have the option to buy an EV. I know it has a gasoline engine, but the powertrain really is an EV, non? I'm all for it. I just won't be among the first buyers.
