No, I'm talking about the exact volt that you see in that video is not the production eflex system which is series hybrid, it is just an EV and does not have the range extenders it is a one of a kind car. The "volts" they are testing right now are malibus with volt internals.

John: I think aliendroid is referring to the car GM is presently showing as a "production Volt." It's not a Volt at all and has no Volt components. It's a "Volt" body with EV components so that it can be driven around. They built one EV in a Volt body and are calling it a "production Volt."

Their intention appears to be to fool people into thinking that they are that close to building the Volt. In fact, they still don't even have batteries for a Volt. Aliendroid believes (and it's a reasonable assumption) that they used EV-1 components to build this car.

Primary car: 100% Electric 2003 Porsche 911 Carrera. Estimated range at 55 mph: 81 miles total or 64 miles to 80% discharge. Top speed 70 mph.

Secondary car: Zap Xebra SD, also 100% electric. 1.9 cents per mile. Range: 40 miles total, or 32 miles to 80% discharge. Top speed 35 mph. Faster downhill. Both EVs use electrons generated from water power.
