DO NOT buy from Tustin Toyota or North Hollywood Toyota

Hello, I am a newb on this board. I have been researching the Prius and was planning to buy one very soon. But the buying process has been very dissapointing especially with Tustin Toyota and North Hollywood Toyota here in Southern California. So I wanted to warn people to take their business elsewhere as these 2 dealers are no good.

Tustin Toyota wanted $5000 over MSRP and North Hollywood Toyota wanted $4000 over MSRP for a package #6 Prius. So don't waste your time with these dealers. The guys that I dealt with at Tustin Toyota are Patrick, Mario and Mr. Chen. Men with no character. The girl that I dealt with at North Hollywood is Kristina. There are many other good and honest dealers out there so stay as far away from these dealers as possible.

I know the Prius is in high demand, but what kind of idiots do they think are going to pay 4 and 5 Grand over MSRP

I guess this is just a Hollywood type of attitude with them.. That Cali sun has burned their brains right out of their head

Yeah I was shocked at their arrogance and their lack of character. They may make some more money in the short term but with these kinds of practices it will hurt them in the long run. Reputation goes a long way with consumers.

I think we should list all the dealers that are marking up their vehicles and have questionable ethics so that we as consumers know where not to go. The Prius is a great car but these dealers are really putting a stain on them. They should be punished by the consumers.

I just bought my Bar. Red 2008 3 weeks ago. Had a GREAT TIME!!! Used the Costco discount, got a good deal. they did not have the exact pkg I wanted, waited 2 days, they had one trasnsferred over from Santa Monica Toyota!!!

I dealt with Eric Goldner, very nice chap, no pushing, pressure, I had a great buy!

Now 3 weeks later, either I got in in the nik of time, or something else is going on!!

Sorry to hear about your experience, I personally would have no regrets sending someone to NoHo Toyota!!!

I second the motion on North Hollywood Toyota----A bunch of crooks.
Keyes Van Nuys is also a ripoff.
Look up in the Bay Area for deals. Go through www.edmunds.com---A great experience.....Good Luck

I am working with Leo from Longo Toyota and he guaranteed that he would charge no more than the MSRP. I had to put down a deposit and get on a waiting list since they don't have any in stock. But the deposit is totally refundable. He has been good to work with so far and hopefully this deal with go through without any surprises.

Tustin and North Hollywood will take deposits also on incoming Prius but they would still charge the dealer markup. I really hope these guys go out of business soon.

I got a call today from Power Toyota of Irvine. They wanted $4000.00 over MSRP. Stay away from these crooks as well.

Bought a new Prius base with package #5 at Longo Toyota for $26,614 which was the MSRP. They were great to do business with and I would definitely do business with them again. Very straight forward deal. Ask for Leo Gonzalez. I highly recommend Longo.

With the computer it should be easy to find the best deals. I found 6 dealers within 150 miles of me and emailed them all the same quote request. In a few hours I had them all fighting for my business like sharks in a feeding frenzy. All out of town dealers offered to drive it to my house! I kept updating them over the phone with the best quote I had received...finally my local dealer won my biz with $1000 off MSRP...but that was 30 days ago. Now MSRP is probably the best you'll do. There's no way I'd pay a penny over MSRP.
