Curious, how did the Sportster 5 work out in your Prius? I just purchased and 09 Prius and and planning to transfer my Sportster 5 to the new car this weekend? Any mounting tips?

Cheers,
Doug

My Sportster 5 has been working fine

I used a "Proclip" mount. Here is their website: ProClip Mounting System  - Choose Your Country

I mounted just to the left of the MFD and is wired directly to the car stereo antenna (no FM transmitter.) My antenna was place on the dashboard in corner near windshield. I have very few "searching for signal" times. Bub probably would get a little better if antenna was outside, but this is a much cleaner mount.

Search around prius chat, there are picture of this mount on other cars. ( I do not have picures of mine

You can get the ProClip through the PriusChat Shop for free shipping:

PriusChat Shop : ProClip Center Mount - Toyota Prius [853437] - $34.99

I can also get the Sportster device mount for you, if you'd like. It would save you about $10.00 in shipping compared to the ProClip store.
