Default Chicago Region allocations - Mid Feb?

Steveb84,

I was wondering if you have heard anything about allocations for the Chicago region this week.

Mark

PS I grew up in LaCrosse but don't get there very often since my family has all moved away - but I still love it.

Hi Steve. Is Chicago in the same region as Cleveland? I talked to my dealer (Motorcars, Cleveland) today and he said that the "four state region gets 60 cars a month".

He also said that they are required by the region to send my name, deposit, and buyers order so that there is proof that they are not just trying to get cars without customers.

No, I believe that "four state region" is Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Michigan.

Also, FWIW, best I can determine is Chicago Region = Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana.

I'm sure Steve knows (as well as current allocation for the region  ).

I continue search out other possibilities around the Midwest and got this reply from a dealer in Cedar Rapids, IA

Quote:
Thank you for inquiring about the newly redesigned Toyota Prius. At this time we have paused taking any new orders for the Prius. Toyota is talking a one year wait time and we have 9 pre-sold orders we are trying to fill for customers. We feel that pausing any new orders is the best way to be fair to Prius customers due to us not being able to guarantee a time frame.
Especially interesting is the Toyota prediction - a one year wait time - for orders placed now!

By the way the dealer for my order in Illinois said that Chicago region is getting 100 Prius in this mid Februrary allocation.

That's the most stand-up thing I've seen any dealer decide to do outside of the dealers who use this forum.

100 Prii?? Is that possible? Not that I'm complaining.

Any idea how many per dealer that would work out to be?

Still sitting at #36 in the wait list for my silver #9,
Jared
