As part of the Michigan At Risk series, Northern Michigan University professor Dwight Brady has produced a half-hour special called Michigan's Green Energy Economy. The program compares booming renewable energy companies with the downturn in more traditional manufacturing businesses."

"This program documents the viability of constructing a new economic engine that generates financial incentives for reducing environmental damage rather than exacerbating it."

I've always been an advocate of turning GM's and Ford's dying manufacturing plants in to fab plants for solar and wind devices. That'd be awesome.

But in the great tradition of SUVs, they'd make solar and wind devices that consumed more power than they produced. You might need an exorcism to remove the evil management spirits from the buildings. :P
