I dont care about the science of Global Warming or Global Cooling.

My intent in this string was to point out the infallibility of the Scientific community. And that I think a large majority of the Global warming crowd is hyping Global warming to advance a political and social agenda.

My position on global warming is, if it is true, and I not convinced it is, is that I'm ok with global warming Hysteria; so long as it brings about a big change in Global pollution. Global Pollution and Global poisoning will kill us long before Global warming.

But before ether will happen. We face tremendous third world famine as the result in water shortages to meet the need of huge population ingresses in the third world countries in the coming forty to fifty years.

You don't care about the science? That's pretty obvious!

As for the global warming crowd to advance a political and social agenda?

And what might that be???? (Beyond the obvious of saving the planet?!) Are global warming "crowds" set to make more money that the entrenched energy "crowd"?

As for the "infallibility" of the science. I think you mean the fallibility of the science. While the scientific community may (and does) have a debate as to the degree (no pun) and extent of the potential warming, few if any respected, peer reviewed climate scientists deny that it is real, and that it is human caused. A logical person, concerned as you are about the poisoning of the planet, your only logical response should (IMHO) be, to err on the side of caution. If we begin to make the changes to reduce CO2, and the climate models are not completely accurate, the worst case is that we have reduced CO2. On the other hand if we do nothing, the worst we will do is potential destroy our ability to live on the planet. The idea of "waiting to see" if it is right or wrong is, like, "there's a little fire in the kitchen. Let see we can use the box of baking soda now, but that would "waste" the baking soda, so we will see if the fire goes out on itself to save the box of soda!" I would argue that while the analogy is not very good, it non the less is true. Any other course of action is crazy. I suppose you could say I'm with the baking soda lobby!

Sometime you should listen to your own arguments to hear how silly they are.

More than likely, those CO2 reductions are also a proxy for pollution reduction, so there is a substantial benefit. There are also national security benefits as well.

If you cared about the science, you might understand how pollution is related to climate change. Who knows, you might even have something relevant to say.

EasyRider,
If it is the hypocrits that really are what bug you, why do you attact the cause they are using?
Why not attack the hypocrits and don't let them flavor your view? And why only GW hypocrits? Why not religious hypocrits as an example?

Most people want to make some money, but the notion that people go into climatology to get rich is laughable. Only a person who values or understands nothing but money could think it was true.

Since the doesn't care about the science it doesn't matter whether he has or not. I think we're done here.
