I understand the skepticism, but it still doesn't agree with the cold hard facts. Despite all the bureaucracy in other countries systems, they still manage to do it much cheaper than us.

Furthermore, let's not kid ourselves about the status quo. Private insurance companies right now are all about pages and pages of bureaucracy. It's coming up on open enrollment time at most employers right now. For those of us lucky to have several choices of plans/providers, how easy is it to figure out which plan is best for you?

Every time my wife goes to the doctor, she has to call the insurance company -- 9 months after the fact -- to find out why she's being charged for this and that. Then the insurance company rep doesn't know, and they have get in touch with the doctor and get back to her. In the meantime, a second bill gets sent out, necessitating a second call to the insurance company... (and in many cases, I bet people just pay it to make them go away)

Instead of a "flush" Congress is stuffing another 1,990 sheets of toilet paper in the commode.

Lets see- endless handouts, endless abortions, endless rewards for sloth at the expense of production, anything goes if it feels good, marrige between any 2 anythings is fine, endless big government, endless tax increases and on and on and on --- what a wonderful liberal utopia. And if there is anything you need ---just ask obama for it.

Good start on a description of the conservative movement.

Got to love the hypocrisy of these conservative clowns. They love authoritarian regime and big govt....as long as they are calling all the shots. They are fairweather patriots and chickenhawks. They are all about accountability...as long as it only applies to the other guy. And none of them ever balanced a checkbook in their life.

At least we ejected them in time to stave off an outright Depression...hopefully anyway.

Hey, I give you credit -- you knew what a checkbook is
And don't worry about a little ol' depression -- lord obama has your back (and wallet)
