Friends: 63 | A gas only version? Not the gas/electric hybrid that's been in the works for years? |

Friends: 0 | Gas or gas-electric doesn't matter to me. All I'm interested in is the pure EV version. Except that it won't be available here probably for a decade. Hey, maybe the Aptera will be available here about the time my electric Porsche (which I don't have yet) is worn out. |

Friends: 33 | You better post a swag of pictures of this bloody porsche, every post mentions it. I look forward to seeing it Daniel. I'd love an Aptera although it might even be a bit too outstanding even for me. |

This is the first I've heard of a gas-only version. The article isn't clear on whether this gas-only version replaces the hybrid or if it is an additional 3rd model. I doesn't matter to me, I'm only interested in the electric version. If the EV has the advertised range I could use it for 95% of my driving. I really hope Aptera makes it, this is the revolutionary type vehicle that is needed to push change in America. I'm not very hopeful though. TH!NK just declared bankruptcy and Tesla just announced they failed to raise the funds required to make their EV sedan. | |

Friends: 0 | As I understand it, this is a temporary setback related to the collapse in the credit market. If the economy recovers (if W has not sent us irrevocably down the toilet) then credit will once again show its face, and Tesla should be able to raise the money it needs. Businesses everywhere are putting plans on hold for now. The Tesla sedans are delayed but not scrapped. (Knock on wood!) |

Friends: 0 | From the outside it's going to look exactly like any other 2003 Porsche 911. Here's a couple of pictures of it from the dealer's web site before I bought it, and a picture of the first block of batteries installed. |

Friends: 0 | now we have a better idea what’s inside the front wheel pods looks like they modified the vehicle to include a rear window and a windshield-mounted rear-view mirror, but also kept the rear view camera. I can’t figure that one out. I’d rather get rid of the mirror, which would open up the view out the windshield. |

Friends: 10 | well it sucks that Tesla is delayed in getting out the "family" vehicle (for those upscale families looking to trade in the Lexus that is) because of the credit crunch AT THE SAME TIME the government is giving GM money when they dont have squat. granted the Tesla car would be $60,000 but hey, i think the thought of never having to buy gas for the next 10-15 years would be attractive and save anywhere from as little as 1000 to maybe $3000 a year (and could potentially be much more) or $15,000 BUT... no oil changes.. that would save $80-150 a year or $1200 also no tuneups every other year @$300.....or $2000 so now that $60,000 car cost around $42,000... OH WAIT if bought in WA State that would save anywhere from 6.8% sales tax (9.3% if using info on EVERY print and TV ad)...now that does not reduce the sale price but its still money off if weighing purchase against a standard car so that would be a minimum of another $4000 so now we are at $38,000... which aint much more than a lot of high end SUV's out now so, because of the credit crunch, we dont have a vehicle we want to buy and unfortunately vehicles we dont want did not go away. its almost as if, big business orchastrated the credit crisis knowing that small startups threatening their livelihoods would not survive and good ole Uncle Sam would not let them fail... it would not surprise me in the least to find out 10 years from now, that none of these companies are broke. they just simply funneled profits into an account in the Bahamas to just appear to be on the verge of bankruptcy. there is simply too much money right now that is un accounted for...

Friends: 1 | I have two Apteras on order, but I'm very disappointed that the company is not providing real world stats on the cars mpg. The owner and possibly others have been commuting with the car for some time now, about a year. It seems unlikely they wouldn't be keeping records. Perhaps the results are disappointing. Then they offered a lock on the deposits to save $250.00 on the cost, ( which =.0091 ) of the original quoted price, $27,500 on the electric, the 2e model. I think they have money problems.
