I'm almost done watching it. It'd be of interest to those who are more interested in the business side aspect of the auto industry rather than any specifics about technology or any particular models.

It's on the front of Charlie Rose - Home right now. If not, you might be able to watch it online later if you search for the videos on that site. Of course, EVs and the Leaf came up.

For those unfamiliar with Ghosn, he turned Nissan around from near bankruptcy in 1999 into a company that was making record profits. There was a great article on him on detnews.com but it might gone now. http://www.titantalk.com/forums/niss...superstar.html has the text but some of the graphs aren't there. http://edition.cnn.com/2008/BUSINESS...le/#cnnSTCText has a bit more on him.

Not sure which subforum this should go to and hope this isn't a repost. I just noticed that the 2010 Prius, FFH and Insight recently got added to the long term test fleet at Advanced Vehicle Testing Activity - Hybrid Electric Vehicles.

I also noticed that the 2 NAHs have hit 160K miles and the Tahoe hybrids have accumulated pretty high mileage. The Tahoes held up reasonably well except that one of them needed an engine replacement (!) and the other needed a new AC compressor and accumulator.

The HEV battery tests they performed on the 3 new additions might be of interest to some of the EEs here.

2005 Peterbilt 379. All American made. CAT C-15 without ACERT (Thank God) Eaton Fuller 18 Speed, 435 Stock HP and about 2800 foot lbs of torque. Had the local CAT dealer tune her up a bit to 625 Horse and about 3100 ft lbs of torque. 10" stacks help the engine to breathe as well.

1 previous owner and about 450,000 miles on it.

Should be able to get 1.5 million miles before engine needs to be refreshed and I plan on running it about 15-18 years.

Oh, About 3-4 MPG.

My TiVo HD happened to record Ultimate Factories: Camaro as a suggestion for me which prompted me to check for upcoming eps. An ep on the Porsche 911 and a rerun of the of the Corvette are coming up soon. See below for more info:

Ultimate Factories | Porsche | National Geographic Channel
Ultimate Factories | Corvette | National Geographic Channel

I haven't had time to watch much of the Camaro one yet, but if it's like some of the other eps I've seen, it should be good. I think it/all the others are probably worth a watch if you like cars, even if you're not a GM or Porsche fan.
