My Car: Other Hybrid Package: N/A Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | I was driving my 2006 Mariner Hybrid when all of a sudden a message came on the dash "safely pull over". I did and the car turned off and would not start. I waited about 5-10 min and it restarted. It happend a week later but this time it didn't start until the next day. Does anybody have any ideas? The local Ford dealership Service Manager had no idea. Never heard of it before. ANY ideas would be appreciated. Thank you. |

My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | I just tried to help diagnose yet another Escape that was doing the same thing, according to its owner, and there was apparently some indication of high temp involved. I drove it a little and it didn't happen for me; the car showed no codes but I couldn't get the Ford enhanced stuff working so there may have been some ECU-specific history codes I couldn't see. Everything seemed normal, the A/C worked fine [which is used as part of the battery cooling regime, so it needs to be functional], and all the fluids were at proper levels. A bit of a headscratcher. Perhaps it's just endemic to the FEH/MMH or there might be a TSB out or whatever. . _H* |
