I don't think anybody in Spokane could beat me to the next traffic light, if I was willing to exceed the speed limit. If I'm first in line, I leave everyone behind. And this is without even flooring it. The occasional idiot passes me going 50 after I've settled in at the 35-mph limit.

One more good reason not to live in such places! In Spokane, you drive right to the parking lot or garage (I always use the indoor parking) and walk from there about 5 minutes (if you're at the far end) to the ticket counter.

In Fargo, the walk was shorter but there was no indoor parking.
