Please run down few of your favorites. You never know where this might lead one's curiosity.
I know this has been hashed out before, let it be a refresher this time.

My obsessive distractors:

1. Political Stew reshaping itself for the past 5 years or so, my # 1 most devoted, most time consuming forum ever and most internationally diverse. Flaming non-stop, beware. Moderating there from time to time.

2. PoliticsForum.org fabulous forum, taking part daily for past several years, lots of friends there. More cordial, less flaming, global members, feeling like confronting someone from Iran, that's a place.

3. ILovePhilosophy.com several years now, high caliber discussions, really time consuming but rewarding, feels like back in college

4. Hyperboreans 2 years now, interesting and friendly.

5. CiterionForum.org few years now, anything about "THE" film, cineastes territory.

6. PriusChat.com few months now, although reading for over a year as a guest.

and plethora of others, but participating from time to time, not a daily routine.

Mine are much simpler, I'm on two Yahoo lists. One's for the Gerry Anderson series Supercar, and the other is for the Tom Swift book series.

I also hang around in the Back to the Future chat, but not that much. Today, however, someone said that Doc should use an Insight for his next time vehicle, because it's a hybrid. I felt compelled to add some comments there.

Sorry OP I'm going to hijack this thread for a quick question to aaf709. Just the other day I was telling my daughter about these books (Tom Swift) I used to read as a kid and how cool they were. What age do you think Tom Swift becomes appropriate?

TIA -Jeff

The only other forums I regularly look into are this one and AudiWorld.

ConstantChatter.com~it consists mostly of women. I hang out around the pregnancy boards, LOST (the tv show) thread, and some of the gossip/entertainment and money/real estate-related boards.

Livejournal.com~it's really more of a journaling site than message board/discussing forum, but it's a way for me to keep up with friends who live all over the place and discuss all kinds of things.

That's it for me, really.

I would say 12ish. A couple of links is the Complete Tom Swift Jr. Homepage and the Complete Tom Swift Sr. Homepage. The latter talks about his Electric Runabout, which is available to read online. The Yahoo group is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tom_swift/

Because of its wide diversity, PC keeps me pretty busy. I'm also on
a lot of mailing lists [notably prius_technical_stuff yahoogroup].
I occasionally dip into priusonline. I fooled with greenhybrid a
little but there wasn't much of particular interest there. Some of
the hypermilers seem to hang out over at cleanmpg.com, which I'll
probably sign up for. If I want more rat-holes to go down, taking
a cruise through greencarcongress can turn up a multitude.

www.toyotanation.com - used to be good community but now it's taken over my some large corporation

www.toyotatuners.com - basically those that didn't remain in TN above started their own forum.

www.priusonline

www.cartalkcanada.com/forum

www.finalgear.com - rarely participate but I go there for Top Gear and Fifth Gear info.

PriusChat is it for my participation (besides the updates on my own website). I'll lurk on others hybrid related, but rarely ever post a reply. The listeners & repliers I seek are here!
