Understandable that she had no malicious intent... but all the same, she should have been charged with something, or at the very least been kicked off of AA for not obeying the rules and laws that TSA has put forth.

Damn, but that headline is funny. Like something out of the Onion.

To "air" is human. To forgive, divine.

It said she has an unspecified medical condition, so presumably the flatulence was not her fault. Still, she ought to have informed the flight attendant and just farted away, not gone on striking matches. We as a society are far to squeemish about farting. When someone sneezes we say gazunteit (I'm too lazy to look up the correct spelling) or god bless you. In Mexico they say Salud, and in Nicaragua they say Jesus when someone sneezes. But we never say anything polite when someone farts. As a teenager I went on a campaign of saying gazunteit (see above parenthetical remark) any time anybody farted, and you wouldn't believe the dirty looks I got!

Too bad the entire aircraft had to be unloaded, inspected, and the passengers questioned. However, if you think about it, they have too; otherwise the bad guys would just use that as an excuse.

Sir please stand over there.
Now I want you to squat and pick up those two heavy suitcases.

pbthhhhhhhhhhhhh

Ok, now you’re clear to go.
