al-Qaeda threatens all US oil & gas suppliers

NEW YORK — An article published last week in a slick Al Qaeda online magazine calls on jihadists in the Arabian Peninsula to follow a directive from Usama bin Laden and attack "oil interests that provide the Crusaders with oil."

Those "interests," the article states, could also include facilities owned by Venezuela, Mexico and Canada.

The article, entitled "Bin Laden and the Oil Weapon," and posted Feb. 8 in an issue of the once-dormant e-zine "Voice of Jihad," calls on the Saudi branch of Al Qaeda to strike oil-related targets, "as instructed by our [emir], Sheikh Usama bin Laden."

The latest issue of "Voice of Jihad" appears after a nearly two-year hiatus, and just days after the reappearance on the Web of the Al Qaeda training manual "al Battar," indicating a possible resurgence of the Saudi node of Al Qaeda, aka the Al Qaeda Organization in the Arabian Peninsula, according to Stratfor, a Web-based global intelligence monitor. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,251942,00.html

Al Qaeda suggests striking Venezuelan oil premises
The Saudi branch of terrorist group Al Qaeda Wednesday made a call to launch attacks on oil facilities based in countries outside the Middle East supplying oil to the United States, and suggested nations such as Canada, Mexico and Venezuela, AFP reported.
"In the long term, the United States will no longer need the Middle East (for oil supplies) or is to curb dependence, and it will be supplied with oil from Canada, Mexico and Venezuela," the Saudi faction of Al Qaeda said.

al-Qaeda Threatens Canada (Again)

For selling the USA oil! They didn't mention the fact that Canadian troops have been handing the Taliban's behind to them in Afghanistan. I'd like to think that's a big part of it though. the al Qaeda Organization says Canada's oil and natural gas facilities should be attacked.

Is it we that needs the oil? Or is it the corporations that need us to need the oil so we can buy it from them at inflated prices? Are they all in cahoots? American Automaters just don't seem to be pushing very hard to find better MPG or alt fuel vehicles..

Don't worry. In 10 or 20 years, we won't be bothering folks in the middle east since the oil will be depleted. Assuming our economy hasn't imploded, and the USA hasn't followed in the USSR's footsteps, in which case, it could be even sooner...

After all the oil in their country is burnt up. They don't have oil to sell to us and we won't buy oil from them.

If they burn off all their oil quickly we'll be hungry too. Not much will grow in the bread basket with the droughts that will ensue. lol
