According to Reader's Digest and Autobytel.com . . .

* 40% are Republican's and 36% are Democrats. (Therefore, 24% appear to be Communist Pinko's, Socialist’s, Libertarians, Anarchists and GASP! those "None of the Abover's" commonly referred to as Independents! <_<
* 21% live in the Midwest, 31% in the Northeast and just 16% live on the West Coast.
* 57% are over the age of 45.
* 49% don't not have a college degree and 35% make less than $40K per year.

Accordingly, Mods, please adjust the political spectrum ratio of your membership to reflect these new statistics. We could end up with a younger, better educated, more affluent and "Kinder, Gentler FHoP?!?" :P

Aren't there statistics showing that most of the prius's are sold on the east and west coasts? I could be wrong.

That's according to Reader's Digest. Pretty much sounds like their typical readership; if you asked about, say, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, you'd probably get the same results.

"Reader's digest"= stories for people with the attention span no longer than 1 page. You might think the story is 4 pages long, but the page is 1/4 the size of a regular page.

It only takes one line to report a statistic. Why do you find it necessary to Bloviate for creditability?

I thought Reader's digestion was just for reading in the crapper? That's why they are short reads.

Prius drivers are pretty equal accross the spectrum of Americans. We've discussed this before. We also discussed why, given that, that PriusChat leans more to the left than the buyer statistics would suggest.
Because the younger you are, the more likely you are online and the more likely you are left of center. The older you are, the less likely you're online, and you're more likely right of center.

BTW, many people who vote democrat, would never call themselves democrats. Nearly all republicans are proud to be so. It's one of the advantages the repugs have over the demons.

Here's some info that says the exact opposite as far as where hybrids are sold. Oh, and I got a link, unlike the OP. :P

http://www.hybridcars.com/market-dashboard...7-regional.html

Interestingly, when rated per capita, NO midwest states or cities make the top ten, including Chicago.

WK, do you have a link to your original story, or is this made up?
