School board member recalled

Some of you may recall back in May when I was elected to our local school board. There was some discussion about one troubling trustee that was suing the district and the intermediate school district over special education for his child, while remaining an active member of the school board. He is no longer a trustee. He was recalled by a two to one majority during the last general election.

Excellent!

He has every right to sue. But not to sit on the school board while he's doing it.

Yeah, I figured you wanted an exciting opportunity to get backstabbed on a regular basis. How is that working out??

So far, so good. I'm pretty used to being back stabbed from my former life in the corporate world.

As someone mentioned in your first thread, school boards can get very nasty. I still have death threats on an old answering machine from when my ex served on our local school board. People take school board issues very personally. And they are personal, so it's understandable.

Anyways, thanks Tom for doing what you're doing. I think it's important work.

I was briefly involved with a local planning board. Trust me, the corporate world doesn't even come close to the backstabbing you experience with Old Boy's Club boards
