I don't believe the explosion had anything to do with the hybrid components. As stated the explosion was in the front and the batteries are in the rear. Perhaps someone had it in for this guy? Dum...dum..duuum Update: Oh I see there was a "bomb" involved. |

Maybe a defective IGBT in the RX400h then? I know that several Toyota engineers were injured in the blast. The IGBT is located exactly where the explosion allegedly occured. I have thought about it from time to time, but ignore it. I really hope that this was not a failed IGBT, as it could send a bunch of Hybrid owners into panic. |
