Friends: 1 | You know you're from Canada when... You only know three spices: salt, pepper and ketchup. You design your Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit. Canadian Tire on any Saturday is busier than the toy stores at Christmas. You've taken your kids trick-or-treating in a blizzard. Driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled in with snow. You think sexy lingerie is tube-socks and a flannel nightie with only 8 buttons. The local paper covers national and international headlines on 2 pages, but requires 6 pages for hockey. You know which leaves make good toilet paper. You find -40c a little chilly. The trunk of your car doubles as a deep freeze. You attend a formal event in your best clothes, your finest jewelry and your Sorels. You understand the Labatt Blue commercials. You perk up when you hear the theme from "Hockey Night in Canada". |

Friends: 23 | What about - You're proud about your cross-country highway even though it only has 1 lane each way at certain parts of the country? Oh and I got this off another forum Canadian Temperature Conversion Chart 50°F (10°C) Floridians shiver uncontrollably. Texans dies of exposure. Canadians plant gardens. 35°F (1.6°C) Italian cars won't start. Canadians drive with the windows down. 32°F (0°C) American water freezes. Canadian water gets thicker. 0°F (-17.9°C) New York City landlords finally turn on the heat. Canadians have the last cookout of the season. -60°F (-51°C) Mt St Helens freezes. Canadian Girl Guides sell cookies door-to-door. -100°F (-73°C) Santa Clause abandons the North Pole. Canadians pull down their ear flaps. -173°F (-114°C) Ethyl alcohol freezes. Canadians get frustrated when they can't thaw the keg. -460°F (-273°C) Absolute zero: all atomic motion stops. Canadians start saying "cold eh?" -500°F (-295°C) Hell freezes over. The Toronto Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup.
