Picked up a new Package 2 (non-touring) today at a dealer 100 miles away. We got 50.3 mpg on the trip home. No cheating - this included all the stop-and-go stuff before and after we got onto I-95.

I know it is only 110 miles on this tank, but it is by far the best start I have had. Achieved on a trip to Michigan and back today, mixed driving, most of which was between 45-55 mph.

I just filled up after the first 141 miles of a new Prius. The car computer said 47.9 mpg. The calculated mpg based on gallons in fillup was 65.5.
Assuming the car computer is accurate, the difference is probably due to the tank being more full initially (full tank by the Toyota dealer) than the auto shutoff in my fillup. The difference is about .8 gallons based on the 47.9 mpg figure.
Does this sound like a reasonable explanation?

Just put on 650 km from Merritt to Vancouver,b.c. and back to Kamloops,b.c. and used just 30.3 liters.............looks like 60.6 mpg. Didn't go over 110kph,mostlly around 105 kph. All time usage is 5.1/100km on computer

I'm hoping for my first 60 MPG+ tank fill tomorrow.

I have been averaging 58 MPG going to work and 65+ going home (35 each way).

I got my first 70 MPG+ trip today. I let my wife use the car this past weekend (driving normal), and she only got 55 MPG. That will hurt me a little.

Anyway, here are a few snapshots. I just entered the 3rd pip approx 20 miles ago.

This is my first month of ownership, and I have driven 2,200 miles so far. Easily a savings of over $500 in comparison to my sold Tundra.

I'm lovin it!!
