5th Tank Fill

Hi, I filled the Prius today. Milege: 247. Temps between 55-78 degrees this week. No heat or A/C needed. All city driving. Computer said 51.5 MPG. Actual was 53.2 I'm impressed. We named our 2006 "Gumdrop". I call it a "he" as we can't decide which sex it fits.

I used to drive 2 Metro 3 cyl. cars. They had no ba--s at all. The Prius is a powerhouse compared to them, and I feel when I floored it once to pass a truck it felt like a med. size 4 banger. It just keeps getting better.

Where are you? 55 to 78 degrees? I need to come live where you do.
This morning the temp was 24 degrees and a whopping 42 on the drive home.

I think I'm doing great at 53MPG avg for my second tank. I live in "The Hill City" which makes it tough to do any better. It's hard too in the morining with the temps.

I like the name you chose... Gumdrop. It fits!

Current milege is 4800. 2006, Black, Pkg. 1, Tinted windows, Leather wrap wheel cover, leather arm rest cover. 33,100 Miles, Bought on 1/7/06. Lifetime fuel average: 52.4 MPG. As of 7/8/08 NO defects or any other problems. This car has NEVER been to the dealer for any reason. I run the A/C on 68-70 degrees almost all year long. 2005 H.D. 1200 Sportster- Custom. Gets a solid 50 MPG @ all speeds.
