After reading about some of the problems with the gas gauge I am wondering if I should trust it, and if it would be wise to go ahead and fill up at 2 pips? I have no idea how much fuel the tank was actually holding because I only got a little over 4 gallons in it when it read half full from the dealers. Ellen |

I was just pleased that i was able to get almost 50 mpg 3 quarters through my first tank. I was under the impression that the mpg actually are better with city driving? Ellen |

that being said, treat it like a normal car and fill up when you would anything else. For me, i always started looking for a convientient station around 1/4 tank (ie 2-3 pips), and definately before it hit E (so if it hits 1 pip i go to the next one, even if it isn't the most convienient). Just don't push it or try to reason how far you can go based on miles and mileage and you'll be fine. | |
