I achieve @44 MPG on my first tank of gas running the A/C, what can I expect with the A/C off? I know the A/C runs off the battery so does it impact mileage?

I run the A/C at 76-78 one setting lower than the MID setting and do not see the A/C having as huge of an impact on mpg but of course I don't even have 1k miles on my Prius. Then again it hasn't gotten consistently hot yet so...

I think that practice and increased PSI (I run 46/44) have made the biggest difference.

That has been my experience. Temps play a huge part as well. Anything below 65deg F and I drop down to 44-45mpg. Over 80deg and I can sit around 48-50mpg with the same driving style and commute.

I just hit 1100 miles on my new baby and average 50 MPG with current NH weather (30's in the AM and 60's in the afternoon). Today on a 100 mile trip (roundtrip) going through some mountainous terrain, I averaged 56 MPG by the end of the trip. My tire pressure is about 40 psi all around. I also just changed my oil to Mobil 1 (at 1000 miles). Not bad for cool NH temps and very hilly terrain. This car rocks!
