I live in South Florida, Gas in my neighborhood jumped from $3.49 / gal for regular last week to $3.77 / gal in the same gas station today. How much are you paying for gas in your area today compared to a week ago? |

Our gas prices are usually the highest in the U.S. but the prices lag behind the West Coast prices by about six weeks. With prices still going up on the mainland, I try to get gas whenever I get below a half tank, before the price goes up again. I have always done this during hurricane season in the past anyway, even if the prices are on the way down. |

When I look at the price of Diesel, it makes me so glad I drive a Prius!  |

Yesterday I paid $3.649 per gallon for about a 7-gallon fill. Recently prices have gone up quickly and dramatically; only about a month ago, gas was about $0.20 less expensive - never say 'cheaper' about gasoline! But that's all right with me; even with my old 'gas-guzzling' Scion xA, I only filled up 6 to 7 gallons every other week. With the Prius, I've gained about 10mpg in my normal driving cycle, so it's still a 1/3 improvement! |
