Had 800 hundred miles on my 2008 Prius. Had also replaced the stock tires with 195/65-15 Bridgestone Potenza 960as pole pos. Found a much improved ride and corning. Based on a full time NASCAR tech friend who has a Prius and added the same tires a few months ago. The roads were mainly at a minimum hills to small mountains most of the way. Kept my cruise control on 70 when the limit was 65 and averaged about 43 MPG. Added 700 miles over 2 days... Might also add how happy I am with the car. Quiet ride, comfortable and enough "toys" to keep me busy. Coming from a 2005 Acura RL. With 4 people in the car it was roomy and still performed well. Had to be more cautious with passing, other then that no complaints. (1 parking lot attendant did not know how to drive it) After reading a number of comments I know realize I should have stayed at 60 ish. Might have added more mpg's. What is the P&G technic that I read about ? |

I would have expected more than 45mpg. What are your tire pressures and what were the temps during your trip? Any head or side winds? |
