I got an average of 51.8 mpg, for the trip, both directions. I drove the speed limit, 55 in reduced zones, and 70 on the highway. I used cruize all the way. I noticed that in the hilly parts, far southern Indiana, and Kentucky I got up to about 52.5 avg at times. however as soon as I was about 15 miles into Indiana (flat lands), it quickly dropped to less than 50 average, maybe 48 to 49. I was watching the chart bars and you could really see the difference there, as all bars would be slightly above 50 in Kentucky hilly highways, but dropped to a bit below 50 across 30 minutes in Indiana's flat highways. all in all though I am very pleased with the trip, over 282 miles, and just below half a tank...not sure of the total gallons used, but based on my last fillup, I would suspect about just under 5.5 gallons. Thanks, Chris |
