That's only if I go to WA to get my gas, here in OR we can't pump our own. That's a real mess because the kid at the gas station can't be trained. I usually end up with spilled gas or a half a tank. *edit* I try never to miss a chance to whine about the fuel bladder.

My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | Owner of a 05 prius with just under 5k miles on it. Summer was great pulling 450-500 miles per tank. Now in the last week in November and first week in December where the temps are consistantly low to mid 20's I am getting 230 miles per tank with a wind behind me. When I run the fuel down to the light blinking I can squeeze (off first click) about 7 gal. into the tank..... I have called my dealer wondering if I have issues and they say if my area is running "Summer Fuel" this would impact how hard the engine has to run to keep the water hot.... /boggle now I am not pissed at 230 mpt since it is still around 30ish mpg which is better than I was making with my F150 BUT somwhow in all my research and talking to the salesman I failed to find out about such a DRASTIC mpg change during the winter... Any thoughts? Viro |
