Request for participation in user study about energy management in the Prius

Dear Prius users,

I am a Ph.D. student at Georgia Tech studying sustainability in ubiquitous computing.

Given the increasing popularity of hybrid cars, we wish to see what aspects of a hybrid car might translate into design for a energy management system. We propose to investigate whether and under which conditions people would comply with the advice of technology in the Prius.

Specifically, we are interested in investigating why people choose hybrid cars and how they manage their gas and mileage in a hybrid car, such as the Toyota Prius.

For the interviews, we will target all adults of a legal driving age (e.g. above 16 years of age in the USA and 18 years elsewhere in the globe) who own and drive the Prius. The interview would take place in-person or on the telephone and would last for 1-2 hours at a time convenient to you. If you decide to participate, a $10 Target gift card will be provided as compensation for your help.
