I've had this installed now for about 2 weeks.
All of a sudden the MFD got "Stuck" on a playlist song and my steering wheel controls no longer allow me control over forwarding or reversing songs!

Not sure what the dealio is with this!
I can, however advance the songs from my Ipod but this is not what I spent $135 on.

Let me guess......I have to tear apart my dash and get to the unit I installed?

What a bummer! You didn't say that you've cycled power, but I would think that was the first thing you tried. You might want to go with the full power cycle by disconnecting the 12 Volt battery for a few minutes.

Can you still switch between different screens? What happens when you select a different mode on the radio itself vs. the steering wheel?

ah..sorry if I'm not explaining this that well...
...all modes working fine!
problem is.....when looking at the Artist/Title section of the MFD while in ipod mode......the display reports the wrong song. The title is "stuck" on one particular song however not the current song playing on the ipod!

Does this happen with one particular song? If so, was this song playing fine before?

dunno. I've had the MFD freeze on a particular L/100km in the Energy Monitor when the engine is clearly off and I'm in EV mode. Switching screens or turning the engine on solves that. Did you try switching screens or turning Title off then back on?

If the title has odd characters like a '.' or a ':' it usually will not update the title. It should fix itself once you play a song with an alphabetical title. You can rename it in iTunes or a tag editor to remove the characters and then it will work properly.

k.....
It seems I may need to contact support at Denison.
The MFD still reports the Title as the same song it got stuck on last week....even though I've played a couple few dozen songs "after" this incident, Plus the steering wheel control to advance to the next song doesn't work with the ipod (however it did work for the 1st few days!).

I am able to navigate to other songs through the ipod which correctly displays the current playing Title.

I'll do a follow up post after I speak to support.

I just let them know of this posting.

Heywaitaminute

It says you have an 06. Can you confirm this? The MFD isn't supposed to work on the 06.

Did you try unplugging the unit and plugging it back in? This is a bummer.

I intentionally buttoned up the unit behind the dash to keep it outta site and away from possible damage. sigh!

I have an '05...not '06
